After many years of student activism on the campus of Howard University and in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, a group of committed brothers, sisters and families came together to form the Muslim Society of Washington DC, Inc.(MSW). Our vision and goal is to develop a vibrant Muslim community residing in the District of Columbia manifesting the best of Islamic conduct and productivity.

MSW sponsors projects, programs and events that are primarily geared toward economic development, education, and social services.

Programs span Leadership Development, Workforce Development and Language Development, and include skill building seminars and workshops on Life Planning, Time Managment, Home Ownership, Computer Literacy, Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. MSW also sponsors several cookouts, sport tournaments, and competitions.
